Happy October! Happy fourth quarter of the year! Happy best sports month of the entire year!
Countdown to the Costa Rica trip is in it’s final days. This time next week, Lizzie and I will be in Central America. Central. America. !!!!
The weather here in SLC was beautiful today. MT and I took the doggos to the dog park where they ran, frolicked, and smelled lots of dog butts. After a good 40 minute run around the park, the girls were ready to come home and relax.
Book club met today to discuss the last half of our current read, While Justice Sleeps by Stacey Abrams. I wasn’t done reading the book, so I spent the morning trying to finish the book before the meeting. I didn’t finish in time for the start of the meeting, so I kept reading through the tweets and trying not to see any spoilers for parts I hadn’t read yet. I did finally finish the book. It was all right.
Late this afternoon, I went to the spa to get my vacation pedicure. My toes look fab.
MT and I went to dinner at one of our favorite local places, Copper Creek Pub. I am so glad they are back! The owners closed the place because they were having a tough time getting cooks and no one was going back into restaurants. Some loyal customers bought them out and re-opened the place with the same menu and most of the same serving staff. We’d been getting take-out from the restaurant last year, and I was so sad when I learned they were closing. I guess lots of people were sad about it, but tonight the place was packed. The food was delicious, too!
MT and I have been watching Ted Lasso. We have now watched all of seasons one and two and are totally up-to-date for the season finale next week. I will watch it with Lizzie in Cariari, Costa Rica. (!!!) If you haven’t watched Ted Lasso, why? Why are you depriving yourself of the joy that is Ted, Beard, Keeley, Roy, Jamie, Rebecca, Sam, and all the rest of delightful people on the show? Just do it.
