#339 T's teeth, In-n-Out Burger and weekend plans

I got so carried away with my randomness yesterday, I forgot to report on the state of T's teeth. He had a dentist appointment on Monday morning; it was just a normal six month cleaning and check-up. He has a little cavity in between a couple of teeth on the right side, and he's stubbornly holding onto some baby teeth that I thought were regular teeth but are not. The baby teeth, which are on the bottom, are causing his regular teeth to get all crowded. He's going to go back on the 14th, be sedated, have those two teeth pulled and be fitted for a retainer. The retainer will be put in place at a later date. It will be behind the bottom teeth and will keep his molars from pushing forward and further crowding the teeth. We're hoping it will lessen the need for him to have braces, or if he does have braces, hopefully he won't have to wear them for so long. I was glad he only had one new cavity.

In completely unrelated news, an In-n-Out Burger was opened in Draper last week. I haven't been out there yet. I imagine the line is gigantic. Here's the coolest thing though: last night, when we were at Target, we saw where the west side In-n-Out will be...right there by Target in West Jordan!! HOORAY! It looks like it's all built. I may have to go online to find out when they're going to open that bad boy. T and I gave each other high fives. We're excited!

I'm looking forward to the long weekend. Jake and Linda will arrive tomorrow afternoon, and I think I'll be getting off work early. I'd like to take Osi for a walk, then start the food preparations. There are things I can get done ahead of time that will be helpful.

On Thursday my plan is to get up early and hit the gym. That will give me energy and a positive way to start the Day O' Food. We're planning on having the bird on the table between 2:30 and 3:00. I was lucky enough to get five Jazz tickets for the Thursday night game - check it out on TNT - so that will be a great way to end the day.

Friday morning we'll take Jake and Linda to the airport. They have an early morning flight to San Diego where they'll hop on a cruise ship that will take them down the Mexican Riviera, through the Panama Canal into the Caribbean and up to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It's a two week cruise. Doesn't that sound great? The rest of the day on Friday will be mellow, I think.We don't really have any big plans.

Saturday is the Utah-BYU game. It's in Provo this year. I'm not going, but I may watch it on TV. Of course I want the Utes to win. I think the two teams have the same record. It should be a good match-up. Also on Saturday I want to take T shopping. He needs new shoes and jeans. I'd like to buy a new pair of shoes myself, and maybe a new sweater or two.

I'll probably fit a nap in here and there throughout the weekend also!
