#2423 three things: I'm listening to LeBron, Jay, and Michelle

Usually in the morning I listen to the Dan Patrick Show, a sports talk radio program. Dan and the guys are off for a couple of days, so I listened to some other stuff instead.

1. LeBron James. I bought myself a subscription to the app Calm for my birthday. I might have talked about it here before, but I'm going to talk about it again. There are lots of meditation options on the app as well as sleeping stories - I tried one and didn't love it even though it was narrated by Harry Styles. There is music and other special features. One of the features was a series by LeBron James about mental fitness. There were five short sessions ranging from "game day" preparation to the power of sleep. I enjoyed listening to it and it made me like LeBron even more. Too bad he plays for the Lakers.

2. Jay Shetty. I know I've mentioned Jay here before. He is a former monk who is basically a life coach. I first "met" Jay during Oprah's gig with WW in June. I have listened to several episodes of his podcast, On Purpose, and I like it. The episode I listened to today featured Debra Messing and Mandana Dayani and was about activism. It was interesting and sounded like the three people were just sitting around chatting with each other. I like that relaxed vibe.

3. Michelle Obama. She has a podcast available on Spotify. I listened to the first episode; the guest was her husband. They talked about community. Of course their conversation was relaxed and their banter was cute. It was also clear that it was a conversation between two intelligent people who are committed to their beliefs. I know that MO's podcast isn't for everyone. I was into it. I'll listen to more episodes.
