#2452 thankful: the dog park

This morning I took Mac to the dog park. It is kinda far from the house, but it's the only off-leash dog park on this side of the valley and Mac really likes to go there.

It was quite cold, around 37 degrees, so I was all bundled up. I walk around the perimeter of the park while Mac runs and plays with the other dogs. Today she played with Mia the rottweiler, Rick the Brittany spaniel, and ran after Luna, a little dog with yellow eyes who totally loves to play fetch. There were other dogs that she ran around with too, but I didn't catch all of their names.

I felt grateful to Mia and Luna's owner who told me that Mac was really well behaved. LOL. She said that when she was giving out treats, Mac sat and waited patiently until she received a treat. I was delighted to hear that. Of course I was watching the interaction and I saw that Mac was being such a good girl. The lady also complimented Mac's shiny, soft fur and how pretty she is.  I like that lady. I don't know her name; I only know her as Mia and Luna's person.

We stayed for about an hour and when we got in the car, which Mac didn't really want to do, it started to rain. Shortly after we got home, it started to snow and then it snowed most of the day. We probably got around three inches of snow, maybe more. Mac loves the snow - she is part husky after all. I let her run around outside several times. I didn't go out with her, but I watched from the windows and she always came when I called for her.

I'm thankful for the dog park. I love that Mac can run around and use up some of her amazing amounts of energy. She's been awesome and mellow all day.

I hope y'all had a great weekend!

That's great that she likes to play with other dogs and is nice of you to take her there.
I shivered a little reading about your weather. We had a very cold windy day yesterday and I don't like the cold!!!
Be well and don't catch a cold!
