When we left here last night, I said I had big plans for Sunday. I can report back that some of the things I planned happened, and some didn’t.
The two main things I wanted to do were done: I wanted to see a movie and I wanted to make lasagna.
I went to the movie theater to see the latest James Bond movie, No Time to Die. To me, Bond movies are supposed to come out at Thanksgiving. This one came out in early October, and since I was in Costa Rica, I didn’t go see it with my menfolk. I sure enjoyed seeing it this afternoon, though. There was just one other person in the theater. I had a bag of popcorn and a small soda, and I was mightily entertained.
There are a couple of things I like about the Bond movies. First of all, I like the locations. All the films have scenes in cool places. This one had scenes in Jamaica, Italy, London, France (I think) and an island that looked kind of like Luke Skywalker’s island. Another thing I like is the way everyone dresses. I like the action scenes. I like Daniel Craig quite a lot as James Bond. I now have the urge to go back and watch the other Daniel Craig Bond movies. I remember not caring for Quantum of Solace, but I’d be willing to watch it again.
I realized something pretty crucial, but also kind of a “duh” moment. I like to watch movies in the theater because I will actually sit still and watch the movie, happily munching on my popcorn and sipping my drink. When I’m at home, I am tempted to pick up my phone and play games or look at IG. I will jump up to go to the bathroom or get snacks. I let the dogs in and out of the house. I don’t just sit still and watch the movie. That said, I don’t know if I will actually re-watch the Bond movies, but maybe. Thanksgiving weekend sounds like a good time to do it. I’ll let you know.
The other thing I wanted to do was make lasagna. I had a vision of a saucy, cheesy chunk of delight on my plate. I saw the mozzarella cheese oozing and stretching from the plate to my mouth. I envisioned the flavorful meaty sauce needing to be sopped up by garlic bread. I imagined the delighted looks on the faces of the menfolk.
I did see the delighted faces, but the lasagna did not live up to my expectations. I never seem to have enough marinara sauce, so even though the flavor was good, the lasagna was a bit dry. The cheese didn’t stretch like I imagined, either.
My plan was to send the leftovers home with T, but Mac decided to sample it. She is creative and acrobatic when she finds something she wants. GRRR I told T I’d make lasagna again in the next few weeks, because I really think I can do better.

LOL it reminds me the other day we had pizza and I went to sit down on the chair by the window and I had the plate with pizza in one hand and with the other hand I turned to hold the chair arm, and the plate with the pizza turned a little and Lulu did one of her super jumps and took a big part of my pizza lol
