We woke up to the first snow of this winter season today. There was about an inch of snow on the deck when I let Osi outside around 6:30. She promptly plopped herself down and started licking all the snow she could reach. Then she went down on the grass and rolled around. The girl loves the snow.
The snow stopped and the sun came out, but the temperature remained low all day. The roads are clear, but there is snow on the yard.
MT has been painting. He is now down the stairs and into the front room. We decided to put carpet in our bedroom and to re-carpet the upstairs hallway and down the stairs. The hallway and the stairs have bugged me for years because they are two different colors and styles of carpet. When we moved in, we pulled up the carpet in our bedroom and put in laminate wood flooring. Osi's toenails click click click across the floor at night. I will be glad to have carpet, I think.
MT and I went to Lowe's to pick out some carpet. We also looked at some Pergo flooring for the other three upstairs rooms and tile for the bathroom. I'm hopeful that the carpeting can be laid and that MT will be able to put in new tile flooring in my bathroom while I am in Georgia. MT feels confident that it can be done.
I cooked a chuck roast this afternoon. It turned out so great. There's something satisfying about roasting meat low and slow in the oven on a cold afternoon.
Mostly I have been reading today. I finished a book tonight. I also went to the library and picked up two more books. One I had on hold and the other was on the Lucky Day rack. That means I only have seven days to read it. No renewals on the Lucky Day books. I just started reading it tonight while I am watching the Utah/BYU football game.
It has not been a good game for Utah so far, but there is still hope. The fourth quarter is about to start and the Utes are down 27 - 14. The Cougars came out with fire in their souls. Utah...not so much it seems. It ain't over yet though. #GoUtes
I gotta get back to the game now. Until tomorrow!
