#1328 hanging out with family and friends

Greetings from Idaho!

We drove down to Pocatello this morning for the weekend.  Linda hosted a surprise birthday party for her sister Pat. She's turning 80 on Christmas Eve. Linda's house was PACKED with people - I bet there were over 30 people here. Even though it was all family, being around that many people makes me feel a little claustrophobic. I found a chair and perched there for awhile until I escaped downstairs where I found my son and my nephew Garrett hanging out. They felt the same way I was feeling. Still, it was nice to see everyone and wish them a merry Christmas since we won't be here for the holiday.

In the evening we met up with Rob and LA. We had dinner at Texas Roadhouse, exchanged gifts, chatted and laughed for a couple of hours. It was great to see them! MT and I really miss spending time with them; we've been friends with them for lots and lots of years.

Tonight we are hanging out with Jake and Linda. It's peaceful and nice here. I miss the people here in Poky, but I don't miss living in Pocatello in general.

Visiting with our dear friends and being around MT's family was a fantastic way to start Christmas week :)
