#624 my TV appearance?

As I mentioned yesterday, I took the day from work today, so after I dropped T off at school, I went to the gym, arriving around 7:15. When I got there, the FOX 13 van, a local news channel, was there. Inside the gym, I saw the on-air personality, Big Budah, was sitting on a bench. He was surrounded by sombreros and stuff, so I figured that one of the dance companies was going to do something during a live shot on the news. I didn't think much more about it and I went to the cycling class.

I set up my bike and started pedaling to warm up. That was when the instructor let us know that the TV people would be coming in to do a live shot around 8:05 - 35 minutes into our class so we would be nice and sweaty for the camera. Also, the people closest to the door would almost certainly be seen on TV. There were three people between me and the door. There was nowhere to move, so I just shrugged and kept pedaling. All the people I know are at work at 8:05, so it wasn't a big deal to me.

Promptly at 8:04 the TV people came in. I couldn't hear much of what Big Budah as saying, but I did hear, "There are a couple of guys in here, but the rest are hot women!" I'm not sure if he meant hot like wolf-whistle hot, or hot like sweaty. Because I was hot in the sweaty way. Really sweaty. And that's when the camera turned in my general direction. I think the the camera-man may have focused on the lady who was next to me. She's quite pretty.

The TV people were only there for a few minutes and we just kept riding. I know it was on the air though, because one of the men in the class told us afterward that he got a text from a friend saying he'd seen him on TV.

I looked on the Fox 13 website, and they have a couple of clips of Big Budah at the fitness center, but not the cycling clip. I don't know whether to be happy or sad. Part of me is glad that I can't watch the clip, obsessively watching my red sweaty face, my jiggling thighs and my bouncing upper body. Part of me is sad that I was maybe on TV and can't see it. Is that strange?

Anyway, that's my story about my time on the small screen.

I enjoyed today. After the gym, I took a quick shower then went over to the Spa Club to have my eyebrows waxed and a manicure. My nails look so pretty! Millie, the lady who worked on me, is really great.

After that, I went over to Ross and guess what! I found a black tote bag that is EXACTLY what I wanted. Well, it's not buttery leather, but the style and size is perfect.

This afternoon T and I went to see the play "The Game's Afoot." It was excellent. The first scene in the second act made us laugh out loud many times. It was hilarious. We both really enjoyed the production. Their next play is "Zorro: The Musical." I'm pretty sure we'll go.

And to top off the day, I called my mom and she told me that Dad has been moved out of ICU! YAY!!
