Today at my office, a couple of guys were talking about how the country, and the world for that matter, were heading down the path of doom. They were talking about how all the money is held by a few prestigious families and the world banks. They were talking about how the USA has 17 trillion dollars of debt and how that ginormous amount could never be paid down and how the creditors are looking to cash in the country's gold because the dollar is so worthless. They were talking about how the US will, in the not too distant future, become a military state. The talked about the need to have a bunker where you would stash all your weapons and ammo and gold and food and seeds. They would live off the grid in Idaho or Montana. "It's coming," they said, ominously.
We don't have any guns or ammo. Sadly, we don't have piles of gold, either. We don't have much in food storage. I don't have any seeds or tubers for planting. I don't have much money and I don't consider myself much of a threat in any particular way. If there was a military state, I would probably comply and try to survive. I don't see myself putting up much of a fight. I may not like it, but I would get by and I would live.
If the country were to collapse and became a military state, do you think the new military government would come after someone like me or go after someone stockpiling guns, ammo, food, gold and seeds?
That's what I think, too.
