There are only a couple of times during the year when I can have the windows in the house open. Right now is one of those times. It is cool at night and warm during the day. Today's simple pleasure is having the windows open at night and feeling the cool air on me while I'm in bed. It's just cool enough that it feels really good to snuggle under the blankets but still feel comfortable.
Last night we had an epic thunderstorm. I woke up around 2AM to bright flashes of lightning and long, deep rumbles of thunder followed by pounding rain. The pattern continued for a couple of hours in the early morning hours. I liked hearing the sounds. I slept great!
