One week from now, we'll be sitting in the airport, waiting to board our flight to the DR. We are excited, and a little obsessed with the weather. If I had a dollar for every time MT or I looked at the weather report for the Samana area, well, I'd have quite a few dollars.
See, it's the rainy season now in the Caribbean and the beginning of the hurricane season. We don't think that we're in danger of being in a hurricane (crossing the fingers here), but we're pretty sure we're going to get wet. We can now see the 10-day forecast for Samana and of course, there's rain every day. What we don't know if it will be rainy like it is here, where it rains all day, or if it will be in bursts and mostly in the evening like it says on the tourism websites. Will we see any sunshine at all? It will be warm and humid - will we enjoy being in the water?
We knew this was a possibility, but we took the chance. Now we're going and I'm a little worried. No, not worried, just hoping for some nice weather.
BIG SIGH...
