#582 Sunday stuff

I almost forgot to write today!

MT went skiing with his brother Kevin and Kevin's girlfriend Janet. Their day was cut short when Kevin blew out his ACL. He's in a big brace and walking on crutches now. He'll have to have surgery to repair the ligament. Poor dude. And they were having such a fun day on the slopes!

T went to church with his friends today. He looked nice in his church clothes. I don't know if the church thing will become a habit. It's his choice.

I went to yoga, then to the grocery store. I made no-bake peanut butter cookies to take to work tomorrow, although we all had some tonight.

Last night I cooked a roast in the crock pot. I really wanted one of those stringy roast beefs, and I even asked the butcher what was the roast that would be stringy. She told me one, and I bought it, but it wasn't stringy at all. It was tough and as T just said, disappointing. There was a lot leftover because it was so yucky. I cut it up into tiny little pieces for tacos and tonight I cooked it with some jalapenos, green chilis, some taco seasoning and beef broth. It got more tender, and the tacos were pretty good.

Then we all sat around and watched the American Music Awards. I enjoy awards shows, and especially music shows that have lots of performances. The finale by LMFAO was entertaining. I'm quite sure the image of David Hasselhoff in the smiley face boxers doing the pelvic thrust is permanently burned into my retinas. And boy, can that Justin Beiber do the shuffle. I liked it! :P

Only two days of work this week, and then we're off for Thanksgiving break. YAY! The holidays officially begin!
