...and now we're back in SLC. It was a quick trip north to Idaho to hang with the family and feast today. Poor MT has to work tomorrow, so we decided to come home tonight rather than getting up at 3 AM and driving home.
There were 15 people at my mother-in-law's house for the Thanksgiving feast today. We had turkey, ham and a leg of lamb. Why lamb? Because Kevin wanted it, so he cooked it. There was also mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (I made those!), cheesy grits, broccoli, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, rolls, and gravy. For dessert there were about five different kinds of pies. We all ate way too much. We'll do it again in a month at Christmas.
I should have taken some pictures. I forget that my beloved iPhone has a nifty little camera in it. I'll try to do better with picture taking, because I like to add photos here.
Even though it was a really quick trip, I enjoyed myself. I really like all of my in-laws and it's fun when we get together. My mother-in-law, Linda, has a nice house and it's very comfortable and relaxing there.
Now that Thanksgiving is almost over, I will be free to upload all my Christmas music on my iPod. When Thanksgiving is over, Christmas in ON. I plan to put up our Christmas tree and get out all my decorations this weekend. We didn't do any Christmas decorating last year because we went to California for the holiday and T said there was no point in decorating our house when we wouldn't even be here on Christmas day. We're going to Idaho this year, but I still want to decorate. It just feels more festive. :o)
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, it's nice to take a minute to think about everything you are thankful for every now and then.
