All of my good vibes and positive thoughts were not enough for the Jazz to get a "W" last night. They played hard and stayed with the Spurs in the first half and into the third quarter until they just couldn't keep up anymore. The Spurs are really good; they are not the top seed in the west by accident. The Jazz have some really good young talent and I think the team will be good in a couple of years. The playoffs aren't over yet - game four is tomorrow, but if the Spurs win, the Jazz season is finished.
It was fun to be at the game. The atmosphere during the playoffs is really fun and Jazz fans are pretty vocal and energetic. Jazz legends John Stockton and Coach Jerry Sloan were in the arena last night. We could see Stockton from where we were sitting (he was far away, but we could see him). When we walked out of the arena after the game, we were about 10 - 15 feet behind Coach Sloan. Pretty cool!
Here's a pic from the game:
Right after player introductions, the Jazz released hundreds of balloons. It was neat. The popping of the balloons made big noise throughout the arena. I liked it. In the past the Jazz have set off fireworks in the building - I'm not a fan of that. I like the balloons a lot better.
This weekend MT has been busy spreading mulch around the flower beds. We have a big flower bed in the front yard and the weeds really grow in there if MT doesn't weed it religiously. He decided to put down some landscaping fabric and get a load of mulch. It looks really great. When the flowers bloom, it will be so pretty!
This afternoon, the three of us went to see "The Avengers". I was thoroughly entertained. I love Robert Downey Jr. I think Chris Evans is pretty good looking too. And Jeremy Renner? Bad-ass! Mom's friend Mark Ruffalo was great as Bruce Banner/Hulk and the guy who was Thor is handsome and buff. I even thought the bad guy had pretty teeth. T really liked Scarlett Johannson. Who can blame him? She's attractive.
OK, that's all I've got for today. Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
