#691 I got more new tunes!

Yesterday I gave myself a gift - the gift of new music on my iPods! I got some music by home-sharing from T's library, and I bought some new songs.

Here's what I got from T:

Disturbia - Rihanna...I like Rihanna's music. I like music with a nice heavy beat that I can listen to when I ride or walk and this fits the bill.

Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd   Ok, he actually got this from MT who I think has downloaded the whole CD of "The Wall." I haven't done that yet. This is one of my favorite tracks on that CD, along with "You Better Run." Classic!

Raise Your Glass - P!nk  I like it. It makes me bounce my head around.

Animal - Neon Trees   Uh-oh/I want some more/Uh-oh/What are you waiting for?/Take a bite of my heart tonight  It's dumb but it's catchy and this band is from Utah. Good for them!

Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) - Kelly Clarkson   Yes, it's on the radio all the time but I like it. I like Kelly. She was the first American Idol, you know.

Part of Me - Katy Perry  All of her songs kind of sound the same and I'm kind of tired of her, but for some reason I like this one. I like this line: Look at me I'm sparklin'/A firework a dancing flame/You can never put me out again/I'm glowing  I like to sparkle and glow.

Empire State of Mind - Jay-Z and Alica Keys  I love Alicia Keys' voice and especially on this song. It just soars. She's great.

Somebody That I Used to Know - Gotye  Yes, it's on the radio ALL THE TIME. I like the music. The video is weird.

I got a little Glee trilogy: Toxic, One Love and Thriller/Heads Will Roll   Why? Because I could.

Take Care - Drake featuring Rihanna  I like the sound of this song.

Then I got a couple of songs that I have the CD of, but I haven't downloaded it. These were two of my favorites from Schoolhouse Rock. There's a CD where various artists did the Schoolhouse Rock tunes. I got Three is a Magic Number - Blind Melon and Conjunction Junction - Better than Ezra. Love 'em!

This is what I bought:

Dance Again - Jennifer Lopez featuring Pitbull  Yes, the lyrics are pretty dumb but again, it has a nice heavy beat.

Everybody Talks - Neon Trees  It's their new single and it's catchy. Did I mention they are from Utah?

Shake it Out - Glee cast  The girls of Glee sang this song when Coach Beiste was getting smacked around by her husband. I really liked the way the girls sang this song.

My Sharona - The Knack  I love this song. Every time I hear it, I just smile and say, "Oh my God I love this song!"

Supermassive Black Hole - Muse  I thought I was a fool for no one/Ooh baby I'm a fool for you  The sound is cool.

Smooth Criminal - Alien Ant Farm  Yes, I like the Michael Jackson version a lot. But I LOVE this version, so I had to have it. T and I were talking about Michael the other night and we talked about this song. Michael's video is awesome; remember that leaning to the side move? Insane! The AAF version is just flat-out rocking. I've heard it in cycling class a few times and I can't believe it took me so long to buy it.

When I was Power Searching Smooth Criminal, I found a cello version of the song. I bet you don't know how much I love the cello. I think it is the most beautiful instrument that make a beautiful sound. So there's an artist/CD called 2CELLOS and it is 13 pop songs that are done by two cellos. So, I purchased and downloaded the CD. Smooth Criminal on cello? Yes! Where the Streets Have No Name - my funeral song on cellos? Absolutely! There's also Welcome to the Jungle and Viva La Vida. I don't necessarily want to listen to it straight through, but on shuffle, when the cello music gets mixed in with other stuff, it's pretty wonderful.

Ok, I gotta go to bed now. Good night!
