#2553 today's best: Mother's Day

I was surprised and delighted this morning when T gave me a sweet card with kind and loving words on it and a Delta Airlines gift card tucked inside. 

Today has been nice. MT and I took the dogs out to the dog park this morning. They ran and played for about an hour. When we got home, I logged on to a WW Zoom workshop. I like the Sunday group. After all that, I really needed some coffee, so I took myself over to Starbucks, then MT and I had our monthly Money Date. It was a good one. We talked about selling a piece of land that we've had for a couple of years. MT had plans for it, but we've decided it would be best to sell it, and we have a buyer! More on that sale to come. 

MT and I went out to lunch at a place we haven't been before, 'Bout Time Pub & Grub.   It is a sports bar, fairly new, with lots of TVs and high top tables. It's a good thing that we were not in a hurry because the service was very slow. The beer was cold, though, and we enjoyed chatting for awhile before the food came out. I had the half Monte Cristo sandwich with fries. It was good. MT had the jalapeno burger and he totally loved it. The burger was topped with a bacon-wrapped jalapeno popper. The man was delighted with it. Why wasn't T with us? He'd been up all night hanging out with his friends, riding scooters through downtown SLC, then when he got home, playing video games. He's a vampire. 

When MT and I got home, we both crashed. I haven't been sleeping very well in general, and after a two beer lunch, I was a goner. I only slept for about half an hour, though, so I'm pretty sure I'll fall asleep easily tonight. 

I finished a book, and now I'm just kinda hanging out. I haven't done a dang thing around the house today. Totally spending the day relaxing!
