The article of clothing I have the most of is t-shirts. I had five drawers with t-shirts in them. I have t-shirts for every occasion: t-shirts to sleep in, t-shirts I can wear to work, t-shirts I would only wear around the house, t-shirts I would wear to exercise in, and t-shirts that I would wear in public, but not to the office. Some t-shirts were old and holey or frayed. I bit the bullet and threw those away. Nobody needs my holey t-shirts. Then I got serious about culling. It was hard! I had a couple of concert t-shirts, which I didn't need to get in the first place, but post-concert excitement got the better of me. I mean hell, I'm over 50 years old! Do I really need a Foo Fighters t-shirt (although shout out to the Foo Fighters for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction!).
I went through the t-shirts, and I did okay with getting rid of some. I still have a lot, but I do have a completely empty drawer now. I'm sure I'll fill it with crapola. It is amazing how much crap one accumulates over time. I mean, I found all of T's baby teeth, all in little containers from the dentist. Ew. We were both kind of grossed out by that. Why on earth did I have all that? I no longer have them now.
Right now, I feel a little remorse for some of the things I tossed, but I'm sure within a week, I will have forgotten about them. I'll be okay. I still have plenty of everything, but it feels a little more manageable. Plus I have "new" stuff to wear!

That's hard for me to do, but then again I don't care much for the Kondo woman.
