It is official: I’m married to an old guy. LOL Today is MT’s 60th birthday! We started going out when he was 25. It’s that crazy?
He took the day off from work, which I completely support. I don’t think a person needs to work on their birthday. I did work, but I was working from home, so it was kind of nice. MT mowed the lawn and did some weed-whacking. He napped. He snacked. He read. He did more work in the yard.
I picked up some Mexican food for lunch and presented him with his Dairy Queen ice cream cake for dessert. I also gave him his gifts: backpacking food and a gift card to REI.
It’s been a pleasant day, at least as far as I am concerned. I hope he enjoyed the day, also. He said he was feeling kind of tired after a long travel day yesterday.
