I’m taking a quick break from watching TV while MT is helping T. MT and I just finished watching the final two episodes of Ted Lasso, season two. When he is ready, we will watch episode one of season three. I cannot overstate how much I love this show.
This evening has been fun for me because I did a creativity workshop with Jill the Artist, and then participated in book club. I was a little late to book club because of art, but it all worked out. After book club, I cooked a meal for the first time in a few days. I just haven’t been into it, the cooking thing, lately. Tonight, though, I decided to go ahead and cook up some pasta with shrimp in it, and it really hit the spot.
Let me share a couple of things I did in the workshop this evening. This first one is a blind drawing from a photo. What that means is that Jill put up a photo of a person and I drew the face without taking my eyes off the photo or the pen off the page. The result is sort of loose and wobbly, then I slapped on a little watercolor and called it a masterpiece. Check it out:
We also did this little village. The purpose of this was to notice where lines intersect. Jill put up a pic for us to work from, gave some tips, and away we went. I thought this was fun.
BTW…just watched the new Ted Lasso episode. How in the world is Nate going to come back from the dark side? What a jerk!
Enjoy the rest of the week.
XO
