Day 6 and still feeling like I made the right decision. Today's workout was Kenpo X, which is basically kickboxing. It was fun.
For about a year I was going to a class at the gym called Turbo Kick which was a high-impact cardio kickboxing class. I loved that class! I liked the teacher and I liked how she changed the routine every month. The first week we took it pretty slow while we learned all the moves. The next week she'd take it up a notch by punching faster or adding some more kicks or just increasing the cardio factor, and she'd do that each week until on the fourth week we were just blazing through the routine. Then the next week, we get a whole new routine.
I stopped going to the class because I felt like I wanted to be home in the evening and I got good workouts in the morning. I do still go occasionally at night.
The P90X Kenpo is fun. I definitely got a good sweat going and there was lots of punching and kicking. It was just way more controlled - I don't know if that's really the word I'm looking for. I'll be looking forward to doing it again next week.
Tomorrow is Day 7 and i can choose to sleep in or do the stretching dvd. Can you guess what I'm going to do? :o)
