Today was one of the best Sundays that I can remember.
I was up early and spent some quiet time reading and playing with Mom's dog, Lulu. When everyone else woke up, Mom made waffles and bacon for breakfast. What a treat! Lizzie wanted to get her hair cut, so she found a place that was open and I went with her for the event. Lizzie had very long hair - 27" from the base of her skull and she got about 20" cut off. Her hair looks really nice! She has great curl and it looks sassy!
In the afternoon, the four of us sat outside. Mom, Lizzie and I enjoyed a cold beer and we chatted. It was a warm and gorgeous afternoon and I really enjoyed just hanging out. We made our way back inside to have some snacks - salami and cheese along with chips and dip.
For dinner this evening we had a feast: grilled rib-eye steaks, potato salad, green salad and Dad's special garlic mayo. The man is a garlic mayo master!
What I liked best about the day was the leisurely pace and quiet camaraderie. The weather was wonderful and I was relaxed and happy :D
One other note...MT and T spent the weekend in Idaho with MT's family at the cabins. MT encouraged me to visit my family this weekend, so I took him up on it because I don't really enjoy the cabins. MT sent me a couple of texts today that it was snowing in Idaho. That news made me even more happy to be where I am.
Back to Utah in the morning.
