#706 I was born to sing backing vocals

I think I would have made a dandy back-up singer for a band or an artist. I really do! I usually love the background singing in most songs. I'm not too fond of the plain old "ooooh" but if the back-up singers are singing something, some words, I'm all about it!

For example, one of the first things that caught my ear in the amazing Adele song "Rolling in the Deep" were the voices in the background.

It sounds great and totally adds to the song - in my opinion.

One day my sister and I were driving along in the car and the Aretha Franklin anthem "Respect" came on. Lizzie took the lead, and I chimed right in with the background vocals. We were awesome!

My most favorite background singers of all time are the Jordanaires. Do you know who they are? They sang back-up for Elvis Presley. When I was a kid, I wanted to be in the Jordanaires. Yes, I know, they were a male quartet who sang together before I was born, but I really loved them. They helped make Elvis' music really wonderful and memorable.
