#1997 Saturday with Sandy

First of all, for the three of you that I don't talk to on a daily basis...I did get tickets - a pair for each - to both Chris Stapleton and Hamilton. I'm beyond excited!!

Today started like most Saturdays do, with a Weight Watchers meeting. I was up one lb today, and I feel pretty sure I can identify what happened to cause the gain, other than the obvious, I mean. I'll get into that another day. WW was following immediately by a Zumba class across the street at the fitness center. Funny side note: I packed one cycling shoe and one trainer, so I had to quickly come home and get the trainers. I've done that twice now. The shoes look and feel the same in the early morning.

After a bite to eat and a shower, I went to the movies. Today I saw Lady Bird, another Best Picture nominee. I liked it. The story was about a girl named Christine who had rechristened herself Lady Bird. She is an awkward high school senior in Sacramento who desperately wants to get out of California and go to college in New York. She and her mom have a complicated relationship that was sometimes hard to watch.  A side note: Best Actor nominee Timothee Chalamet, nominated for Call My by Your Name, is also in this movie, though in a much smaller role.

I decided to stop at the mall to pick up some heavy-duty body butter lotion. My skin is extremely dry and I don't know if there is enough lotion in the world to moisturize my body. I don't enjoy going to the mall, especially on Saturday. So many people wandering around!

When I got home I cleaned up the kitchen and I've spent the rest of the time reading. I finished the book I was reading, and now I'll be starting on the book club selection. We've also been watching the Olympics. We were excited for Red Gerard's gold medal in snowboard slopestyle.

A bonus tonight was when T called. He is doing well. MT and I are going to see him tomorrow. He is craving McDonalds and asked that we bring him some lunch.

I had a busy morning, but the evening has been mellow and relaxing. Now I'm ready for sleep. First I'll watch the US pairs figure skaters, then I'm going to bed.

Have a great weekend!
