#1996 three things: I need to be entertained

It's time for 3 things! I guess I'm looking for some entertainment in my life. Check it out.

1. #ekpesbookclub. There is a Utah Jazz player, Ekpe Udoh, who has started a book club.  On Sunday night I was looking at Twitter and I saw that Udoh announced the next book and invited people to join, so I did. The book we will be reading is A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. I'm quite certain this isn't a book I would have chosen for myself, and I don't know anything about it other than it has a good rating (4.37) on Goodreads. I'm looking forward to reading it. I purchased the Kindle edition tonight from Amazon, and I expect I'll start reading it tomorrow. The book club has a reading schedule; we'll read from page 2 - 128 and discuss (via Twitter) on February 19 and continue with three other discussions in the following weeks. I'm intrigued by the whole process.

2. New music for me. I received a few iTunes gift cards for Christmas, so tonight I decided to get myself some new tunes since I was in the e-retail mode. I downloaded Justin Timberlake's newest album, Man of the Woods, and the two most recent Chris Stapleton albums, From a Room, Volumes 1 and 2.

3. My quest for tickets. Tomorrow I will be busily occupied at 10 AM as I try to get tickets for a couple of different shows. I'm sad the tickets for both events go on sale at 10 AM. I've had to prioritize which one I want more. I hope I don't miss out on both. What is it, you ask? The musical Hamilton is coming to SLC in April. I am totally infatuated with the music and I really, really want to see the show. The other event is Chris Stapleton in concert. He's coming in August and I would very much enjoy seeing him in person. Thank goodness for Christmas money! I'll let you know if I get tickets to either, neither or both shows.I'm hoping I'll get both since I only need one ticket for each show.  Keep your fingers crossed for me please.
