#2035 April recap

April was a fun month. I did some cool things, had a weekend get-away and enjoyed the spring weather. Let's take a look back:

  • I went to the gym 10 times, significantly less than in March, but I still got my money's worth. Price/visit - $3.55  If I didn't have a membership, it would be $5/visit.
  • We bought a lot of concert tickets this month! We bought tickets to all four Bluebird Cafe concerts at Sundance, Jimmy Buffett, Ryan Adams and Jackson Brown. (Jimmy will be at the Viv; Ryan and Jackson are separate shows at Red Butte Garden.) I also received tickets to see Gary Clark Jr at RBG because of my volunteer hours last year. Starting in June, we have a concert or two or three every month through October! Yay live music!
  • Speaking of music, I saw Justin Timberlake in concert in April.
  • I also got to see Hamilton: An American Musical this month.
  • I spent the weekend with my mom at her house in southern California and even got to see my sister during the trip.
  • The Utah Jazz made it to the NBA playoffs and although I didn't go to any of the games, I have watched them all on my big-ass TV which is pretty great. The team currently has four wins and three losses in the playoffs.
  • My 2018 volunteer season has begun at Red Butte Garden.
  • I watched three movies - two in the theater (new releases) and one at home (comfort movie).
  • I read six books, bringing my YTD total to 21.
  • I lost one pound this month. (I was on track to lose at least three, but I got a little side-tracked. It happens.)
What's happening in May to look forward to?

  • I'd be happy to see the Jazz continue their playoff run for awhile longer.
  • I'm getting a haircut. Who doesn't like a fresh 'do?
  • I have a dentist appointment. (Maybe not exactly looking forward to that particular appointment, but it's gonna happen.)
  • MT's birthday.
  • Memorial Day weekend!
  • I'd like to get my golf clubs out and hit some balls on the range. Maybe even play a nine-hole round if I'm lucky.
  • The weather should be warm enough to get my bike out this month. I didn't ride at all last year and that's not gonna happen in 2018.
  • I'm looking forward to putting away my sweaters and getting out my warm weather clothes.
  • I'd like to get out to the ballpark to see a Bees game this month.
  • Ooh! I'm gonna ask my sister if she would like to get me a new planner for my birthday ;)
I hope all of you had a lovely April and that you are looking forward to having some fun in May.

I'll be back tomorrow!
