#2558 today’s best: all by myself

This morning, after I left for work, MT left for his vacation. I have been on vacation without him, and left him at home, but this is the first time he will be gone for an extended period and I will be the one left at home. It’s going to be kinda strange, I think. I mean, T will be here with me, but like tonight, T is at work so it’s just me and the dogglets. 

There weren’t many people in the office today, either. At one point, in my department, there were six people. After noon, there were three of us. There were other people in the building, of course, but not too many. I didn’t mind it. I had lots to work on, and I listened to a baseball game - I think it was Kansas City and the White Sox. I don’t know who won, KC I think, but I wasn’t paying attention. I just like the background noise. 

I don’t think I’m anti-social, necessarily, but I do enjoy being by myself. I’ll let you know how I feel about it at the end of next week, but for today, being solitary is the best. 

The dogs and I just came in from our evening stroll. The wind really picked up this evening, and cottonwood was blowing around like snowflakes. My eyes are so itchy! I took out my contacts and put some coconut oil on my eyelids because they itched so much. Now the dogs are playing with a squeaky toy. I’m sitting on the couch watching the second-to-last regular season game for the Jazz. I’m reading a good book, too. In about half an hour, I’ll talk to Mamacita, and then, you know what? I might go ahead and go to bed.

My big plan for the weekend is to switch out my seasonal clothes. I don’t think it’s going to get very cold again, plus I’m tired of all the clothes the winter-y clothes. I’m ready for some “new” stuff! I’m also planning to clean the house and change the sheets and maybe buy some more plants for my deck. I repotted the geraniums I bought at Costco, but there are only two pots. Last year I had five or six pots of flowers on the deck and I really loved it. Hopefully Mac and Harley will go easy on my plants. They can be pretty destructive.
