Hey friends! Happy June!
I’m sitting here on my couch watching the Jazz play game 5 of their first round series against Memphis. Jazz are up three games to one, so if they win tonight, they will move on to the second round against an opponent to be determined. The menfolk and I did go to the sports bar on Monday. It wasn’t crowded and we had a good time. The food was good and large. We all had burgers that left us all with a bulging gut. I know that I was extremely uncomfortable at night and the next day, Tuesday, I didn’t eat anything until noon. All I did was drink ginger tea to calm my tummy. I think we will go back to the restaurant to watch another game, and next time I will just order an appetizer and save the yummy burger for daylight hours.
Here’s what I’m looking forward to this month: Saturday is my birthday. It’s a significant one. We don’t have any plans that I know of. The next Saturday I’ll be visiting Mom and Lizzie in my first journey out of Salt Lake since the pandemic began. I’ll be gone for a whole week. I’m feeling excited! I don’t think there’s anything else going on in June. Just regular stuff, I guess.
Okay, I’ve gotta go. I can’t focus on writing and watch my Jazz dominate.
The best thing about today is that I took my car to the shop to get a new bumper. Hopefully it will ready for me to pick up tomorrow night.
