the bonus day

Today has just felt like a bonus day. Yesterday felt like Sunday to me, so having today off has been great. MT and I went to Chili's for lunch (great service from Yolanda!) and to buy a new dvd player since ours decided it was done. I can't believe how inexpensive dvd players are now. We got ours for $50. No, it's not top o'the line, but it works.

I had to talk MT out of buying a new TV. He's really got the bug for a new HD plasma or LCD. He's been talking about it for weeks. I want a new TV too, but I really want to pay for our vacation more and not take on any more debt. I'd rather get a TV when we can just get it and not use a credit card for it, you know?

Other than that, I've been reading and mostly playing on my computer. I downloaded the photos I took at Thanksgiving and started looking at some projects I may do for Christmas gifts. It's been a grand, relaxing day. Very quiet since the little munchkin is not here.

Now it is time to indulge myself with The Amazing Race and America's Next Top Model. Guilty pleasures!
