HSM on Ice

Just a quick post tonight because I'm pretty tired.

T and I went to see "High School Musical - The Ice Tour" a Disney on Ice presentation. They performed most of the songs from HSM and HSM2, telling the stories through the songs and skating around. It was entertaining and T seemed to enjoy it, even though he was a little concerned at first that he might be the only boy in the place. There were actually 2 boys around his age sitting right behind us. My favorite part was watching T watch the show and seeing him sing along a little bit. He thanked me for taking him and told me that I was the best mom in the whole world. That made my day!

I did something so cool and fun today at work that I have to write about it. Granite has reinstated their Years of Service awards and today I got to go with Jo to pick out her service award. She's been there over 20 years so her award was $2,000. She got a sweet laptop computer and a printer. She was so excited and happy and it was so cool to be there with her! When I first started at Granite, she was a mentor to me and has really encouraged me in my career there. It was really special for me to be part of her happiness!
