quiet sunday

T and I played a little basketball today, and I got to do a little more snow shoveling, too. Not as much as yesterday because a neighbor, Jason, has a snow blower and did the sidewalk in front of and on the side of my house. I'd never met him before so I walked down to his house to introduce myself and to say thanks. I thought it was really nice of him to do that extra snow-blowing.

I also went to the tanning place. I know it's not good for the skin. I also know that a sunburn will ruin your vacation very quickly. For the past couple of years I've been getting a little base tan before we go on vacation and it is helpful. Since I'm a fair-skinned redhead, I burn easily, but so far, with my fake-bake tans, I haven't suffered a sunburn on vacation (knock on wood!)

Dinner tonight was chicken piccata. Not only had I never made it, I've never tasted it before. I'm not sure how it's supposed to taste, but I thought mine was good. The boys seemed to like it too. I made Butterfinger brownies for dessert. Rich, and oh so yummy.

Back to work tomorrow and it is our year-end close. It will be fine, but it's always a little tense because you want to make sure you have everything from the year in the system for payment or billing or whatever.

At home this week we'll be taking stock of what we have, clothing-wise, for vacation and figuring out what we need to get. I know T will need a few things and MT wants some more shorts. I don't know if I'll get anything more than some shoes. I think I'm pretty well set. Maybe a nice dress for formal night on the cruise? I'm not sure. That's what this week is for!
