I'm pretty sure one of the best ways to start a weekend is with a little pampering. I had an hour-long facial at The Spa Club this morning that was really great. The scalp massage portion alone was worth the money. Wow! Did that feel good. I had the hydrating facial since my skin tends to be a little dry. My face has felt so smooth and happy today!
After the facial, I went to Target. I wanted to buy a couple of cute baskets to contain some stuff in my linen closet. I also bought a new pair of pink flip flops (they were only $3.50!) and some shoes for T and a cd that he wanted. After Target, I zoomed over to Bath & Body Works. I had a coupon for a free True Blue Spa item, with a purchase. I got lotion for my hands, my feet and my body for around $20. Good stuff!
This evening we went to Barnes & Noble. Jennifer Weiner has a new book about Cannie, so I had to get it. I used a gift card. Then I needed to buy some ink for my printer so I could work on that Mexico scrapbook.
I don't think I mentioned that after work yesterday I stopped at Kohls. Got myself a new pair of pants and a couple of tops. Yeah, I'm a shopping fool.
We got home in time tonight to watch the second half of the Jazz game against the Rockets. They were playing in Houston, but the Jazz got the win! HOORAY! One win down, 15 to go. While watching the Jazz game, I removed my polish and soaked my feet. That felt so good. I put some of my new lotion on my feet, too.
I've been thinking about Kelsie and Josh today. It's been a week since their wedding, and today they left for their honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I hope they are drinking some Coronas and enjoying themselves!
Another cool thing about today was that I spoke with my sister, and then with my dad. I always like to talk to them.
See? It was a really great day!
