The days have flown by since my last post. I'll do my best to catch up with the top eight things that have happened since I wrote on the 20th:
1. I lost three more pounds last week! It hasn't been easy, and I am really excited with my progress. Only a couple more pounds to go until I reach my first goal of 25 pounds. I'm planning to buy myself a cute outfit to celebrate. I'll have to buy a couple of pairs of pants, too. I'm ok with it!
2. My parents brought T home! They all got here last Thursday afternoon. I swear he's grown an inch or two since I dropped him off. Not really, but he does seem bigger. While he was on vacation, he lost a tooth.
3. The John Mayer concert was great! That guy can play the gee-tar. It was a lot different from The Police show. The Police were rocking, and John Mayer was a lot more blue-sy. There were a lot of younger women at the John Mayer show. The weather was perfect and it was a wonderful night of music.
4. The house was full of parents this weekend. My parents were here and MT's parents were here as well. Our 'rents have really ever hung out together, so it was kinda fun to have them all together.
5. I was on TV. On Friday night Dad, T and I went to see the Jazz play in the Rocky Mountain Revue. The RMR is for rookie and second year players mostly. We saw the Jazz rookies play the Dallas rookies. The games are played at Salt Lake Community College. It's open seating. Since we didn't want to climb a lot, we sat near the bottom behind the Dallas bench. Apparently we were in the camera's view whenever they showed the bench. Mom and MT saw us on TV.
6. My house is clean! I spent most of last weekend and the morning of Pioneer Day cleaning the house. It felt good to get it cleaned up and it looked good, too. I've gotta stay on that.
7. I went to the movies twice last week. MT and I went to see "The Dark Knight" on Wednesday night, and Mom and I went to see "Mamma Mia" on Sunday afternoon. I love to go to the movies.
8. T started 5th grade today. Or did he? He's enrolled in a 4th grade/5th grade split class. I have a little issue with this because he was in a 3rd grade/4th grade split class when he was in 3rd grade. I was fine with having him be in the younger grade and learn the higher grade stuff. He was in a regular 4th grade class last year, and now he's in this split class. How much 4th grade stuff does the kid need to learn? He was pretty dang good at 4th grade last year. The track he's in is supposed to be the advanced track, but how advanced will his class be with a bunch of 4th graders in it? I spoke to the teacher and the principal and they assured me that he would be learning the 5th grade curriculum. I'll be keeping an eye on that.
What's coming up this week:
LA and her son will be in town for a University of Utah baseball camp. I can't wait to hang out with them at the Bee's game tomorrow night!
Company golf tournament on Saturday. I'm playing with some really funny, awesome people. I'm quite sure we won't win anything (except maybe the last place trophy?) and I'm looking forward to playing a free round of golf with these guys.
