OMG! I just read my last post and how old am I? How embarrassing! Sorry about that!!
There's kind of a lot of snow on the ground tonight. It started snowing/raining late this afternoon and turned into real snow at some point. It's stopped snowing now, and there is no snow on the road, but it's on the ground and trees. Looks kinda pretty.
I hate how Sunday goes by so quickly. I woke up relatively early today, around 7:15, and got moving right away, but before I knew it, it was 3:00.
MT and I went grocery shopping today. That's a task I usually handle by myself, but since we were doing the turkey day shopping, MT decided to come along. First we went to Costco. MT doesn't go there very often, and he was funny to watch. He kept wandering off to get samples and look at stuff. I'd pick something up and turn to ask him a question, but he'd be gone. It was like that at the store formerly known as Albertsons, too. A little annoying, but kind of endearing, too.
This afternoon I tried out a new recipe. I want to make this dish for Thanksgiving, but I wanted to make sure I could do it justice and I don't think that a major holiday when you have a bunch of people over is the right time to try out new stuff. So I tested it on us. And it was good. Have you ever had the sweet potato casserole at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse? I have, and it's delicious. I found the recipe online and made it today. It is so rich and sweet. I'm pretty sure that any nutritional value the sweet potatoes bring to the dish is completely wiped out by all the sugar. I'll definitely make it on Thursday, and probably for Christmas too. I don't even want to try to calculate a Points value on this orange masterpiece. You can really only eat a little bit because it is so decadent. I'm going to take it to work tomorrow because there's a lot left (I was going to just make half the recipe, but I got carried away!). I don't think I need that much deliciousness sitting here all week, especially when I'm going to make it again in four days.
T gets to go to the dentist in the morning. We're really looking forward to that. Hopefully he'll be calm and the doctor won't find any more cavities.
I guess that's all for tonight. Have a great week!
