#424 Sunday o'fun PLUS mini movie review

Maybe that should really be called "movie mini-review" because the movie wasn't mini, but my review is. Okay, remind me about that next time...

Today has been Fun. That's right, Fun with a capital F. It started around 8 this morning when I woke up naturally, not with my alarm blaring that it was time to wake up. Sunday is the only day of the week that I don't set my alarm. I figure everybody should have at least one day where you can wake up when you're body wants to wake up. (This philosophy does not apply to T, however. He stays up until 1:00 on Friday and Saturday and I refuse to let him stay up really late then sleep the morning away. I woke him up at 9.)

I digress. I took Osi for a walk over at the fitness center around 8:30. It's about a mile walk, although if no one is in the soccer fields, I just let her run loose there to stretch her legs and chase birds and sniff things. She's very good about coming back to me when I yell, "Osi, watch me." I love her. What a good dog!

After the walk, we came home, I woke T up, then I loaded my bike into the truck and headed for Legacy Highway. I love to ride on the Legacy trail for a few reasons. First of all, there are no cars on the trail. Bikes, people walking, roller-blading or on horseback only. So far I haven't seen any people on horses, but I know they've been there because the horses leave the droppings. Another reason I love Legacy is because it's mostly flat. There are a few rises, but no hills, so it's easy. Finally, I love it because it has a beginning and an end and you know how far it is. I like to ride from the Center Street trailhead to Farmington Station. It's about 22 miles round trip. Today I did the ride in one hour and 29 minutes. It was good. It wasn't too windy or too hot, so it was a nice ride.

When I got home I jumped in the shower and got ready for lunch with the boys. We headed downtown to the Gateway where we dined at The Happy Sumo. It's a sushi bar. MT had sushi, T had sweet and sour chicken, and I had the chicken teriyaki bowl. We had edamame for an appetizer. MT was happy because the appetizer came out well ahead of our meal. That is one of his biggest pet peeves - when the appetizer and the meal come out at basically the same time a la the Stein Eriksen Lodge dinner. Again, I digress. Our lunch was delicious and very filling. I am crazy for the tempura veggies. Everything tastes better when it's fried, right? Especially zucchini and carrots!

After lunch we strolled down to Barnes and Noble because T wanted to get the final book in the "Hunger Games" trilogy. Both the boys have read the first two books and really enjoyed them. I'll have to read them.

To complete the afternoon, we went to see the film "Inception". T mentioned that he was interested in seeing it. I didn't know much about it, but Leo Di Caprio is in it and he's good in everything. He's good in this movie too. There's a lot going on in this flick. It's basically about people who go into other people's dreams to get ideas or in this case, to implant an idea. It's pretty trippy and entertaining and suspenseful and dramatic. We all enjoyed it. When we were walking out of the theater, MT said something about wondering if he was in a dream and almost got hit by a car. We were in reality. T wants to own the blu-ray when it comes out. It's a good show. See it.

So that concludes the Sunday o'fun. We're looking forward to seeing John Mayer on Tuesday and the big three day Labor Day Weekend!

Peace out!
