Today is MT's birthday. The first birthday of his that we were together was his 26th; today he turns 53. We realized this morning that we have been together half of our lives. We've lived together longer than we lived with our parents. Trippy.
We drove to Pocatello today. Our nephews graduated: one from high school and one from college, so their mom and dad (MT's brother) threw a nice party for them. It was a gorgeous day here and it felt so nice to sit out in the sun and chat with the family. One of my favorite things in life is sitting in the sun, drinking a nice, cold beer. I had the chance to do that this afternoon. :)
Now I'm feeling kind of tired from being out in the sun all day. I've also eaten way too much. We started out with birthday breakfast of french toast and sausage. For lunch at the party there was fried chicken and a bunch of salads and cake (and beers). We finished off the night with some Mexican food from one of my favorite restaurants here, Mama Inez. The cheese crisps are a treat!
Tomorrow is a new day to make good food choices and get back on track. Today I was relaxed and enjoyed the day :)
