#1260 a short night

Last night I got to bed at a decent time (10:30) and fell asleep pretty quickly. About an hour or so into my sleep, my dog, Osi, started pacing. There are wood floors in my bedroom and a rug, so when she comes into the room, I hear CLICK CLICK CLICK then quiet when she's on the rug, then CLICK CLICK CLICK as she walks around to my side of the bed where she stops and stares at me. Between the clicking and the staring, I wake up.

I let her outside and told T, who was still up doing homework to let her back in after a little while. I went back to sleep. After half an hour, the pacing started again. CLICK CLICK CLICK quiet CLICK CLICK CLICK stare. Then she left the room and I got up and closed the door but I could still hear her pacing around the hallway and the office where T was still doing homework.

What seemed like a few minutes later but was probably about half an hour later, I really had to go potty. There was Osi, looking at me with sad dog eyes. She didn't feel well. It was around 1AM and T was in bed, so I put Osi outside again and I sat in the chair in the living room and played with my phone for about an hour. I was super tired, but I didn't want to leave Osi outside all night and I knew she wasn't ready to come in, so I just sat there and played games and looked at Pinterest and FB messaged with Mia.

Finally I checked on Osi and she was ready to come back in. She went right up the stairs, jumped up on the bed and promptly fell into a deep doggie sleep. I was not so lucky. My left knee was hurting and I couldn't get comfortable. I flipped and flopped around. I puffed up my pillow. I punched down my pillow. I was hot. I was cold. I was so tired but my eyes wouldn't stay shut. I was hungry and thinking of donuts. I was thirsty but didn't have any water by my bed but I refused to get back up and get some.

At some point I did manage to fall asleep and of course my alarm went off right after that. Needless to say, I was not at top form today. :(
