This morning I woke up early and went to the gym to take the spin class. I hadn't been over there for the class in quite awhile, so I was kind of excited about it. There were a couple of people I knew in there, so it was fun to chat with them for a few minutes before class started. I've kind of missed the Fitness Center. It's pretty nice.
In the spin class, they have added a video option so we can do virtual cycling. Basically, there's a big screen and you ride along with a video of an actual ride. Today we rode through the hills outside of San Diego, I think it was called Lyons Valley. It was different and pretty fun. I kept it pretty mellow since it was my first time back on the bike and I wanted to enjoy the rest of my day. I can tell you that my bum is sore, though. And as Sarah Silverman said, "Spin class is amazing exercise if u love getting punched in the vagina 70ish times per minute."
From class I went directly to weigh in over at WW. I did not achieve my goal of losing 1.5 lbs this week BUT I did achieve my goal of eating more fruits and veggies and getting back to the gym (I went three times this week!) I know if I stick with the plan, the weight loss results will follow.
Later in the morning we picked up T's new glasses and had some lunch, then it was time to watch Utah vs Michigan football on the big-ass TV. It was a little iffy at first, but Utah pulled away and was able to finish off the victory after a nearly two hour rain delay. It's a nice win for the Utes!
We just had a very (un)healthy dinner of frozen meat products. How lazy am I today? We, well T, had Trader Joe's orange chicken and MT and I had some finger steaks that I found at Harmons. It wasn't good, but it wasn't totally terrible and we'll do better tomorrow.
Now I'm going to read because I got two new ebooks from the library. I only have 21 days to read them and one of the books, The Goldfinch, is over 700 pages. It will probably take me all three weeks to get through it. I started this afternoon during the football game rain delay, so I'm going to go reading now.
