The most difficult thing about writing here every day is finding something to write about. My daily life is pretty normal and not full of excitement. Sometimes I think of a little anecdote from the day and can turn it in to a post that may make you smile, or something will be on my mind that I can write about, but some days, like today, I really don't have anything interesting to say.
Fortunately, it's pretty easy to find writing prompts on the internet. I like to to to the NaBloPoMo website and look at their daily prompts. This month the topic is Healing; maybe it's related to 9/11. This is the first day I've looked at the prompts, but they look pretty fun.

Tell us about the best movie to bring on a cleansing cry.
I will pretty much cry in just about any movie. I don't think that I have ever put in a movie because I thought, "Man, I just need to cry, so I'm going to watch ____________." If I need to cry, I just do it.
That being said, there are some movies that are sure to bring on the tears no matter what. I don't think I will ever be able to watch The Fault in Our Stars without bawling like a baby. That movie is a tear-fest, plain and simple. Another movie that always gets me is Field of Dreams. At the end, when Ray asks his dad if he wants to have a catch and there's that little hitch in his voice while he's asking the question? Gets me every time. There are also a couple of Harry Potter movies that I have never made it through without shedding a tear: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The scene where Cedric's father is mourning the death of his son in Goblet of Fire is just heart-breaking. The way he is wailing just tears me up. Then in Half-Blood Prince, when everyone lifts their wands to the sky after Dumbledore dies...forget about it. I'm a mess. And don't even get me started on The Color Purple.
I know there are many more shows that make me cry. Heck, I was watching the end of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty yesterday (the Ben Stiller one) and when he sees the final cover of the magazine at the end of the movie, I was sniffling and tearing up and trying not to let MT know that I was a crying. It's just so sweet!
What movies make you cry?

Every single movie makes me cry, not big crying , just a little sniffling or feeling my eyes tear a little. It doesn't matter if it's a drama, comedy, romance, action, whatever. I am a crier!
We are alike there Jo. I cry to movies a lot mostly comedy, drama, romance.... well all the films I watch. I don't ever watch horror movies or thrillers.
I also cry at sports, when someone wins. I cry at weddings, funerals but all the time I try not to show becuase I think I'm an ugly crier. Not the sort that tears just fall down the face and you still look gorgeous. No, I get all red, both in face and eyes. It's not a pretty sight ;-)
Well, take care and have a great day. My day is almost over, just a couple of hours before bedtime.
Love you and I send you hugs
Mia :-)
