#1650 simple pleasure Monday: Charo!

I was talking to my sister on the phone this evening and she mentioned the movie Chef and how much she liked it and the cast, even Sophia Vergara. Lizzie doesn't always like Sophia mostly because she seems to exaggerate her accent so much and it's kind of annoying. We were kind of giggling about that, when MT pops up with something about Charo.

Remember Charo? A lot of you have probably never heard of her, but she was a sexy little Spanish bombshell who was famous in the late 60s and 70s. She made appearances on The Love Boat. She was a singer and dancer and had a famous catch-phrase: Cuchi Cuchi. It was also the name of a song she had.

Charo is my simple pleasure because just thinking about her made me smile and wonder, "Where is Charo now?" Only one way to find out - GTS (Google That Shit!). It seems like she is still out there working. She must have been happy on The Love Boat, because according to Wikipedia, she works the cruise ship circuit. Good for her, I say!

OH!! I just found out that Charo is in Episode 38 of Jane the Virgin which is the next episode I'll be watching! What are the odds?! I'll get back to you about that :)
