#1916 heading north to see the sun

Pretty much everybody knows there is going to be a total solar eclipse on Monday Aug 21, right? It is being called the Great American Eclipse because the Path of Totality goes through a whole bunch of states, including Idaho. Since we are so close to Idaho, MT and I decided that we would have to head north so we could be in the Path of Totality and experience the Great American Eclipse.

A bit later this afternoon, we will pack up the car and head to Shoshone, ID. MT's brother Kevin lives there with his wife Janet. We will stay the night at their place, then early Monday morning, we will head toward the Sun Valley area so we can be in place when the shadow of the moon falls on the earth.

The weather forecast is for clear skies on Monday so it should be pretty amazing. It's a cosmic event, y'all!

I'll write again on Tuesday and I'll have pics and a story to tell.  Happy Great American Eclipse! Wear the proper eye gear!
