#2164 January, that's a wrap

January has had a bit of everything. I'm looking at the month's calendar in my planner. In each day's square I write something about the day. Every Saturday has the letters WW along with an arrow pointing down indicating a loss. (!) Every Sunday has "b-fast with MT", showing that our Sunday morning pancake tradition lives on. There are notations of weekly chats with Mom and Lizzie. There are quite a few mentions of "quiet nights at home" and "not enough sleep." There are notes about sick days, and a whole week of notes about Osi having seizures, then throwing up and not eating or taking her medicines. Then there's a big smiley face when she does start eating again. There's notes about preparing for vacation: shopping, getting vaccinations, getting visas for Cambodia and getting the detail information and vouchers from the travel agent. There's notes about going to Trader Joe's and watching movies. (I saw four movies this month: one on Amazon Prime, one on Netflix, one on HBO and one in the theater.)

I finished five books this month. (Click on the 2019 Reading List tab at the top of the page.) I'm hoping I can finish another one tonight, but I have a couple of chores to do so I might not finish it. I've got about 70 pages to go. Plus I am super tired. I woke up at 4 this morning and was unable to get back to sleep.  Will I get to bed early tonight? Doubtful. but I'll try.

Looking forward to February...

Well, obviously there is the gigantic SE Asia vacation. I'll only be home 12 days in February, so that first week will be prepping for the trip and the last week will be recovering from the trip. Did you know there is a 14 hour time difference between SLC and Thailand? 14 hours!! So yeah, I think there will be a bit of jet lag on both ends.

I hope y'all had a great start to the year! I love turning the calendar page to a new month :)
