#2188 WW Wednesday

Last week I attended the Wednesday night WW workshop because I felt like I needed and wanted some mid-week inspiration. The coach at the workshop is a woman who used to be in the Saturday morning group with me. She reached her goal, made it through maintenance and started working for WW. She's a hoot and her meeting was fun.

I'm pretty devoted to my Saturday morning group. For one thing, I like the coach very much. I also like the people. What I appreciate about the group is that everyone has a chance to speak if they want. I've been in other workshops in which a few people dominate the conversation and it was hard to get a word in if you wanted to. I feel comfortable in this group.

Maybe this is a regular thing that different workshop groups are doing, but our group has put together a private Facebook page. It's actually been great. We share photos of food and recipes. I've used the page to ask for support when I was feeling vulnerable or struggling. Everyone was supportive and kind. It's made the actual face-to-face meetings more fun too because I think we get to know each other just a little better during the week so we are friendly on Saturday morning.

Tonight I didn't attend the Wednesday meeting. Instead, MT and I decided to go for a walk. I had planned to walk inside the gym, but MT said he would come with me if I walked outside. It was kind of cold and cloudy this afternoon and had been raining off and on throughout the day. We layered our jackets and windbreakers, put on warm hats, and went out walking. It felt good to get outside. We made it all the way around, about a mile and a quarter, and were going to go around again when it started raining pretty hard. We speed walked back to the car (we weren't far from it) and came home in time to watch our favorite show, Survivor. We have gone out for a couple of walks, usually on Sunday morning after we have breakfast. MT keeps threatening to buy a bicycle and says that when he does, he will meet me at work and we'll go for bike rides in the evenings. I have a strict temperature minimum temperature for bike rides, though. It has to be at least 70 degrees before I want to ride. We haven't hit that minimum yet this year, so I think MT has some time to get that bike.

That's all I've got for tonight. Kinda random, but it helps me to think and write about WW to keep it fresh.

Be good to yourselves!
