#2296 I said hello to

I've mentioned that I am taking part in a photo challenge on Instagram this month. The hashtag is #decemberreflections2019, if you want to check it out. I have decided to use only photos I have taken this year, and really reflect on 2019, so it's been fun The exception was the "10 years ago prompt". I used a 10 year old photo for that one, of course :)

Today's prompt is "I said hello to". Was there anything that was new in my life this year? The only thing I could think of is that this year I started drinking a bit of coffee. I started with a frappuccino from Starbucks. T introduced that drink to me. It's sort of like a milkshake, but there's no ice cream. There's coffee and milk and various sugary syrups (especially in T's drink) and it's all blended with ice. I prefer the mocha frappuccino; that lead me to a regular mocha. I don't care for it iced, unless the ice is blended, that is.

I admit that I am often that annoying person at Starbucks who customizes her drink. I like it how I like it! I like a tall blonde mocha with non-fat milk, skinny mocha sauce, no whipped cream and no chocolate curls. Blonde refers to the espresso. The blonde is a little more mild. I have been trying to be a little less high-maintenance lately and just ordering the mocha with non-fat milk, still skipping the whipped cream and chocolate curls.

I really want to have cafe au lait next year in France, so I'm trying to build up my tolerance to coffee.

If I think back, though, it was probably this time last year that I started having mochas. Lizzie and Mom were here at Christmas and Lizzie and I often started our day with a trip to the 'bucks. My go-to drink previously was a chai latte, which I still like a lot, but the mocha has become my new fav.

Maybe in 2020 I will get a little further into coffee. Honestly I can't imagine myself drinking straight black coffee.  It will probably always have to have some kind of milk and sugar. We'll see.

Okay, I realize this is kind of a silly post, but it's all I could come up with.
