#2300 Saturday with Sandy: Christmas shopping edition
I don't have many people to shop for at Christmas time, so time-wise, I can afford to wait until pretty much the last minute to take care of business. Today was my day to take care of the last of my business. I've already shopped for Mom, Lizzie, and LaDonna, so today was all about my boys.
There was a bit of a plan. I loosely knew what I wanted to get for each of them and I had some stores picked out. While I was out in the stores, I had an epiphany of sorts: I like shopping. I mean, I knew I was going to spend the money and it was easy and fun to find stuff that I hope they will like. I also found stuff at pretty much every store that I wanted, too. It made me think that maybe I could make it a priority to go shopping for myself every now and again just to see what's out there and not just when I need to get something.
Only a few items remain to be purchased. Tomorrow I'll wrap and make sure I'm good to go. Yay Christmas!
Speaking of Christmas, we are going to Idaho for the holiday. We will leave on Monday and return Wednesday night since I have to work on Thursday. My contribution to the holiday meal is appetizers and desserts. My SIL Denise is also bringing apps and desserts, so I'll coordinate with her to make sure we don't duplicate. I already have a list of stuff I'd like to bring, mostly apps. Dip Day at work has got me in the proper frame of mind for crowd-pleasing dips.
The three of us went to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker tonight. I can't talk about it right now because I'm so wound up about it. I'll tell you about it tomorrow.
