#2346 can't beat the commute

Yesterday the company I work for decided that if possible, we should work from home. My morning was spent talking to each person on our team to find out what they would need to do their jobs from their home and getting myself straightened out with work I could do at home.

Today was the first day of trying to flatten the curve. I rolled out of bed around 7:30, took a quick shower, put in my contacts, brushed my teeth, put on some comfy clothes, and turned on my computer. We have an app that we use to communicate with the whole team, so all day we were checking in with each other. It seemed like everyone was doing pretty well.

Here's what I know: I like working from home, but I really prefer it when it's my idea. LOL

The day seemed to drag along. When I'm in the office, I can usually find something to tinker with. People come in and want stuff. There are people to talk to. It was so quiet at my house. Osi got over the fact that I was home when I stopped giving her  treats. T was asleep after a long night of playing "Call of Duty". MT was working on one of the properties.

On the plus side, I had breakfast and lunch on real plates with actual silverware, not paper and plastic. I also used my lunch break to put the ingredients for pork curry in the crock-pot and the house smelled good all afternoon. I also liked being able to rub on Osi's furry little body whenever I wanted. She didn't seem to mind that at all.

Tomorrow I do have to go to the office for a couple of hours. My laptop isn't letting me use a program that I get into quite a lot, so the IT guys are going to see what the problem is. There are very few people working in the building and they are all spread out, most with their doors closed, so I will be fine for that short time. I plan to work from home all day on Thursday and go back in to the office on Friday morning for a couple of hours.

How is everything in your world?

Wash your hands.
