#2385 a new friend

Was it last week, on Thursday during 3 Things, that I talked about getting a new pet? Well, after a couple of weeks of looking at the classified ads, the animal shelter listings, and rescue organization listings, I decided to get a puppy. I got T involved in the search and we found a husky/lab mix puppy that we thought looked cute. A husky/lab...huskador? Labsky?

Anyway, we met our new little friend today. It was pretty much love at first sight. I mean, who doesn't love a puppy? She is black with a flash of white on her chest. Her ears are set high on her head like a husky, and her tail is straight like a lab. She has one blue eye and one brown/green eye. She is playful and energetic. She is just eight weeks old - just a baby, so she tires out easily. I put her in the crate this evening when I went up to take a shower and boy oh boy did she make some serious noise.

MT went to work on his mom's cabin in Idaho this weekend. He hasn't even seen her yet. T went over to his friend's house tonight, so I am home alone with the wee furball. We have played and snuggled and she has followed me all around, especially when I freed her from the crate.  I think I'm in for a noisy night, bless her little heart.

Oh, I didn't tell you her name. T named her Mac, after one of his favorite artists, the late Mac Miller. It suits her.

Here are a couple photos:
