#2406 three things: school, work and free time

1. School. I'm glad that T isn't in K-12. I didn't have to do the home-schooling-during-pandemic thing and I don't have to figure out if it's safe for my child to go back to school in the fall. I'm also glad my mom is retired so she doesn't have to go back into the school to teach. Most schools are over-crowded as it is; how is social distancing going to work there? I know that children don't typically get this virus, but there grown-ups in the schools too. I don't even like being in the office and there aren't very many people in there. I don't think I would like to be back with all the kids and all the support staff in a school. Like I said, I'm glad I don't have to think too much about how that affects my personal life. Best wishes to those who do have to deal with it.

2. Work. Tomorrow is the second Friday of July and I have taken the day off! It will be my first full vacation day for a long time, maybe since February. I'm weirdly excited about my Fridays off this month.

3. Free time. MT is going to come for a bike ride with me in the morning, then he will go to work for awhile before he heads to Idaho for the weekend. I have been making a list of stuff I want to do in my head. It includes things like giving the dog a bath, getting some gardening supplies and a few other things at Target, possibly day-drinking (just a little), using said gardening supplies, reading, watching movies or binge-watching a series. I won't be able to sleep in because Mac gets up early, but napping is definitely in the plan. I know, it doesn't sound like much, but I won't be sitting in front of my work computer with a seemingly endless task list staring at me.

I'll try to do something interesting to write about!

Have a great weekend!
