#2480 Saturday with Sandy

Sometime between when I went back to bed around 1:15 and when I woke up at 7:40, it snowed. There wasn't a lot of accumulation, but the road, sidewalks, and grass was covered with white. It made me not want to get out of bed at all. I felt cold just looking outside.

I let Mac go outside. She seems to love the snow. She raced through the yard, sticking her nose into the snow and tossing her head joyfully. I made myself a cup of tea, picked up a book, wrapped myself in a blanket, and read for about an hour. I probably would have stayed in that position for the whole day except that I had an appointment to get my hair cut at noon.

All that happens in my haircuts is that Lana washes my hair, which totally feels great, then she trims the ends. I asked her to braid my hair today instead of doing the regular styling, She French braided the sides around to the back and then tucked the ends into a little bun.

I'm feeling very #cottagecore about it. I don't want to take it apart because I know I won't get to have it again until probably my next appointment with Lana in March.

The other fun thing that happened today is the the December Bark Box arrived. It's Mac's favorite day, I'm pretty sure. This month had a Peanuts theme. There are three toys in the Box: Snoopy in a Santa hat, Woodstock with a wreath around his face, and a snowman that bears a striking resemblance to Charlie Brown. There are also three treats: a bag of pork chop flavored (it says) nuggets, a bag of ham flavored chewies, and a peanut butter/cacao chewy bone. Mac has played with all of the toys and enjoyed the tastes of the nuggets and chewies. I'm saving the peanut butter bone for another day. She had lots of treats today because we only went for one short walk because it was so cold. She would have been fine to go out another time and for a longer period of time, but the humans couldn't take the temperature and wind chill! Tomorrow we will go to the park for a longer walk.

This evening I am watching my beloved Utah Jazz play in their first pre-season game of the 2020 - 2021 season. Actually, I have been reading and mostly listening to the play-by-play call and glancing at the TV when the announcers sound excited. (Jazz won, BTW).

Enjoy your Sunday!
