#2616 Bootanical

A little break from Costa Rica memories to tell you about Bootanical at Red Butte Garden. I got to volunteer there tonight and walk through the garden, and it was completely magical and wonderful!

If you can get there right around 6, before the sun sets completely, you can see all the gorgeous fall colors. It's also really neat when it is dark, because of the lighting and the effects.

I took some photos, but they really don't do it justice at all.

The weather tonight was perfect. It sprinkled once or twice for a couple of minutes, but other than that, the temperature was mild, in the mid-50s and there was no wind. You heard me - no wind!

I also saw a couple of racoons walking around. Those were not props, but actual animals that live there. I was partnered with another volunteer, and there were plenty of people walking around, so the racoons mostly stayed to themselves, just crossing the path when it was quiet.

Red Butte Garden is a treasure.
