I woke up in California, but I’m going to bed in Utah. The mini-vacation/birthday weekend trip is complete, and I had lots of fun! I hope Lizzie and Mom had fun, too.
Lizzie had to work today, so I spent the morning reading and writing. I was able to sit outside on their pretty patio, enjoying the sound of the fountain and watching the backyard animals. I saw a squirrel, a neighbor’s cat, and hummingbirds in the yard. There was one little hummingbird that perched on a sunflower-shaped wind chime and watched as I wrote.
The temperature in La Mirada was in the mid-80s today. At the airport, I sat at an outside table and sipped a $13 Stella Artois beer. A bit pricey for the beer; maybe there is a surcharge for the nice weather.
Here at home, the temperature is in the mid-30s. At least it wasn’t windy while I waited for MT to pick me up. The doggos were happy to see me, and I think MT is glad, too.
It is Thanksgiving week. I will work at the office tomorrow and work from home on Wednesday, then I’ll have Thursday and Friday off for the holiday. I’m pretty sure there are a bunch of things I want to do this weekend. I’ll brainstorm a list tomorrow :)

You know I love so much when I have my girls together with me. It was very nice that you came for Lizzie's 50, I know she was very happy, just as I was :)
Glad you made it back OK :))
The weekend was perfect. Thank you & Mom for helping to make it so. I love you!
